Club Facilities

The club has two buildings (the Boat Club and Britannia) located close to the centre of both Nottingham and West Bridgford and provides rowing and social facilities including:

Gym Facilities

The club has a dedicated training centre in the Nottingham University Boat Club, and additional gym facilities in the Boat Club and Britannia buildings. In total there are:
28 Concept II Model C and Model D ergometers both static and mounted on sliders.
A large range of free weights and Olympic bars, with associated benches and stands.
Static weight machines.
Three Concept II Dyno resistance training machines.

Changing Rooms

Lockable changing facilites for both men and women with showers in both Trentside buildings.

Boat Storage

Picture of Boat Racks The Boat Club racking was refitted in summer 2004 to enable the club to make better use of the limited space. There is also storage in the Britannia building, and in our four bays at the National Water Sports Centre. Private racking for boats (mainly sculls) is available through a waiting list system.

Social Facilities

The club houses a full bar and lounge facilities in both buildings, which are used for club functions, private parties and during gigs.

The club owns a wide range of boats in various weights and configurations including:

6 eights
6 coxed fours
1 coxed quad
5 coxless fours/quads
1 coxed double/pair
10 doubles/pairs
14 singles (weights between 65kg and 90kg)
4 Alden Star learner boats (double/single)

Water - River

The club is located about a third of the way along around 15 miles of rowable water between the National Water Sports Centre and Beeston Marina. This provides one of the longest stretches of uninterrupted water in the country, all of which has considerable width and minimal other river traffic.

Water - Holme Pierrepont

In addition to the river, the club also has (included in the cost of membership) use of the 2000m lake of the National Water Sports Centre, which can be reached with no need to trailer boats.
