Sculling School — Learn to Row Courses
For several years now the club has operated a sculling school that provides people who have no experience of sculling with the chance to learn to scull in a structured manner. The sessions start with very stable boats and over the course of four weeks enable people to learn the essential sculling technique.
The Learn to Row courses for 2009 will be run in two strands, Thursday evening and Sunday afternoons for all ages, or Tuesday and Friday mornings for age 40+.
Courses will be held at Nottingham Rowing Club (The Boat Club boathouse), between Trent Bridge and the Notts Forest Ground
Courses for all ages are £60 for 4 weeks
Thursdays 18.30-20.00
Sundays 14:00-16:00
First courses start March/April
Courses are ongoing throughout 2009
All ages and levels of fitness welcome!
The Weekday Learn to Row courses for age 40+ are held Tuesday and Friday mornings
from 10:30 to 12:30.
Starting in March/April 2009 onwards

Learn how to row on rowing machines and on the water
Don't worry if you can't make all the sessions - there are also optional extra indoor sessions
Lose weight, keep the pounds off, try something new, get outdoors, and if you've a competetive streak then there is a thriving competition circuit on the rowing machine and on water for veterans up to and beyond their 80s

New members of any experience are always welcome at the club on Trent Side, but for beginners this is an excellent introduction to the sport or recreational rowing.
